Thermion has carried out a targeted energy efficiency project at one of the Swedish facilities of the chemical company Nouryon. The project began with a survey of selected parts of the facility where steam and process pipes and equipment showed clear heat loss and risks associated with high surface temperatures.
Based on the survey, Thermion developed an insulation solution that both reduces energy losses and increases safety for staff. By insulating pipes, valves and other equipment, heat loss was reduced while the working environment was significantly improved – with a reduced risk of burns and a safer everyday environment for maintenance and operating staff.
“The collaboration with Thermion has been smooth and professional from start to finish. The result is clear: we now have a safer and more energy-efficient facility,” says Morgan Sällström, Technology and Maintenance Manager at Nouryon.
The project is a clear example of how strategic insulation can create value beyond energy savings in the form of a safer working environment and better long-term operation. At Thermion, we strive to contribute to both sustainability and increased safety in industry, where the right insulation provides concrete benefits for both the environment and the people on site.
